Deborah S. Prespare is a Brooklyn-based writer who loves stories that surprise and unsettle. She studied at Cornell College (not that one, the first one, the one in Iowa) and earned her M.A. in Writing at Johns Hopkins University. Her fiction has appeared in numerous literary journals, including Evening Street Review, Euphony Journal, Front Range Review, Flights, The MacGuffin, Potomac Review, Red Rock Review, Scoundrel Time, Third Wednesday, and Valparaiso Fiction Review.
Her work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, named a finalist in the Iowa Review Awards, and recognized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Nicholl Fellowship and American Zoetrope screenplay contests.
When she’s not writing, she’s wandering Brooklyn in search of a good cup of coffee and the unusual, both of which the borough has in abundance.
